Dress Code

Hair is to be worn off the face and fastened in a bun. This is to protect the eyes, prevent distractions, and avoid hitting dancers behind the student.

Warm-up clothing is permitted during cold weather, but it needs to be ballet related warm-ups. Close fitting sweaters are permitted. Absolutely no T-shirts or colored shirts will be permitted. The more the body is hidden with clothing, the less the teacher can determine needed corrections.

Male students wear black tights or pants, dance belts, white T-shirt, white socks, and white (leather or canvas) or black canvas slippers.

Strict DRESS CODE for BALLET CLASSES

Female students wear pink tights, pink ballet slippers and selected leotard in the color according to class levels. Skirts may be worn for Pointe and Variation classes. Hair is to be worn off the face and fastened in a bun. Leotards are available for order in Academy’s Dance & Theatrical Supplies.

Fundamental Ballet & Ellementary Ballet wear Pink leotard & tutu

Ballet I wear light blue

Ballet II & III wear Royal blue

All intermediate Ballet wear lavendar

Advanced Ballet wear marine
